Consignment Process
At Where'd You Get That? we accept consignments five days a week during business hours; no consignments of any kind are accepted on Tuesdays.
All furniture considerations must be pre-approved before placement into inventory. Items need to meet our criteria for consignment consideration before we accept them and set the prices. Please take several pictures of any furniture to be consigned. They should include the top, sides, front, and base views. The dimensions and manufacturer should also be included, if available. You may send us the photos via email.
We take pride in curating gently used furniture and prefer to steer clear of project pieces. It's worth noting that pictures often fail to accurately depict defects, wear, or damage. There have been instances where customers bring in items for approval only for us to discover significant wear or damage requiring repair. In such cases, we regretfully cannot proceed with consignment. This policy extends to furniture picked up from residences. My team is authorized to decline pickups if furniture or area rugs are compromised in any way that may hinder its sale.
Furniture drop-offs are by appointment only after email acceptance. Please ensure you bring extra help to unload items from your vehicle, as our staff are unable to assist. This includes items purchased from the store. See the Safety Policy section on this website. Management has the right to refuse removal of heavy furniture items from the store by a customer if it is determined to be a safety hazard.
We provide delivery and pick up services, with fees that depend on your home's location. Alternatively, we can recommend a list of reputable movers. Home goods are accepted five days a week during business hours. There is a 10-limit item acceptance for home goods. Please understand unable to accept pictures for home goods. There are too many variables involved, making it challenging to assess items without physically inspecting them. Pictures are exclusively reserved for furniture. Ladies' clothing and fashion accessories are accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please click on the Apparel Guidelines section for details on clothing consignments. We determine the prices for your items based on market value and demand. If you have a specific price threshold in mind, please communicate that clearly upon drop-off or prior to the pickup of your items. For items of larger value, we can discuss a selling strategy with you before placing the items into our inventory. The consignment period for furniture, home goods and accessories lasts for 90 days, beginning on the date your item is entered into our inventory. We may adjust the pricing during this period to facilitate a sale. Should your item remain unsold after 80 days, you are welcome to retrieve it by contacting our store. It is your responsibility to arrange for the collection of your furniture, homegoods, or accessories. Any items not picked up by the conclusion of the 90-day consignment period will be donated in accordance with the terms specified in our contract.
